Our Lodge rooms are the epitome of luxury and comfort, offering guests a spacious and indulgent experience.
Lodge Room 1 is a family unit consisting of 2 rooms with a shared bathroom.
The main room has a king-size bed and cozy lounge area with sleeper couch, and the second room 2 single beds.
Lodge Room 2 is our premier unit. A large spacious main room with a king-size bed and en suite bathroom.
Lodge Room 3 is another family room. The main room has a king-size bed and a full en suite bathroom, and the second room with 2 single beds and a bathroom with shower.
These rooms are all elevated with a decklike veranda off the front giving spectacular river views.
Lodge room 4 comprises a king-size bed, full bathroom, and a private veranda with garden/river views.
All Lodge Rooms are equipped with air conditioning, a coffee station, microwave, bar fridge, soaps, shampoos, feather duvet inners and pillows, electric blankets, WiFi, and Smart TV for personal log in. Cots for infants are available on request prior to arrival.
The stone-built cottages are cozy and intimate with stunning views of the Orange River. Perfect for couples or a small family.
Cottages 1 and 2 comprise an extra-length king-size bed with a single bed, and sufficient space for a mattress (at a nominal extra fee.)
Both have full en suite bathrooms.
Cottage 3, though smaller, is equally charming, with a queen-size bed and bathroom with shower. Perfect for couples or solo travellers seeking a peaceful, serene stay.
All 3 cottages have their own discreet verandah for the opportunity to relax while taking in the serene beauty of the Orange River.
All cottages come equipped with air conditioning, coffee station, microwave, bar fridge, feather duvet inner and pillows, electric blankets, WiFi, Smart TV for personal log in, soaps and shampoos, full bathrooms (except Cottage 3, which has a smaller bathroom). The Stables offer spacious accommodation for those seeking comfort and space. Each Unit is made up of 2 rooms with a shared bathroom.
1 room has an extra-length king-size bed and the other 2x 3/4 beds. The shared bathroom is large with a bath and shower.
Unique to Stable 3 is a small central lounge dividing the 2 rooms.
The units are larger than the Lodge Rooms and are the ideal family option.
While not being riverside, they have a beautiful garden setting and view overlooking the Pecan Nut orchard, with the river in the background.
The riverside Boma where meals are served, is no more than 500m from the stables, so makes for a short drive or pleasant walk down the avenue to a relaxing Lounge, Dining Room and Bar.

The Bird Hide is a unique double-story, thatched unit on the banks of the Oorlog Spruit and is a secluded piece of tranquillity.
The ground floor room is a two (single) sleeper with shower, basin and toilet. The upper level is open plan comprising a queen size bed with secluded basin, toilet and bath.
A deck off the main upstairs room gives stunning elevated views of the surrounds.
It is to be noted that access to the upper level is via an external staircase. This unit is therefore more conducive to 2 couples or a couple with teenage children.
Located 3km from the main Boma the short drive is worth it for anyone wanting to experience natural solitude and quiet reflection.
Animals and birdlife abound. A 2 seater kayak is also available for a tranquil paddle on the water.
The Bird Hide is air-conditioned and equipped with a coffee station, microwave, bar fridge, soaps and shampoos, feather duvets and pillows, electric blankets and wifi. Its compact design and location make it an ideal retreat for those looking to disconnect and immerse themselves in the natural surroundings. Cots for infants are available on request prior to arrival.
Beautifully positioned with views upstream and down, it couldn’t be closer to the water. The venue comprises 4 thatched roof chalets on an elevated bank of the river with a Boma dining area and elevated deck overhanging the river. This vantage point makes for a stunning Karoo sunset experience.
All 4 chalets are the same size and layout. Each chalet comprises 2 separate rooms (not inter-leading), with access gained from an external front porch. The main room has a king-size bed with full en suite bathroom. The adjacent room is slightly smaller comprising 2x 3/4 beds with an en suite toilet, basin and shower.
These chalets are suitably spaced with a large pool central to the camp. The layout lends itself perfectly to personal stay-overs, large family gatherings or small get together’s of up to 16 people.
This camp is Eco friendly with plentiful bird life, free range game and is completely “off grid”, powered by solar. Meals are served in the Boma by our resident Chef and friendly staff.
All chalets have river frontage, own verandah, ceiling fans, tea and coffee stations, soaps and shampoos, feather pillows and luxury linen, and WIFI. Infant cots are available on request, made prior to arrival.

Beautiful riverside accommodation. - We unfortunately only stayed over for one night. The tranquility of the surroundings was just wonderful after a long journey. Sitting in the afternoon sun overlooking the river was special.... read more The huge roaring log fire in the dining room in the evening was so cosy and warm, the outside temperature was -5 degrees. Air conditioning and electric blankets were very welcome. We hope to stay over again in the near future.
