Your Gateway to The Karoo

Welcome to

Tzamenkomst River Lodge

Nestled just 25 km north of Colesberg, Tzamenkomst is a tranquil oasis on the banks of the Orange River.

A perfectly positioned “halfway” overnight stop for travellers journeying between Cape Town and Johannesburg or an ideal venue for family and friends to gather and connect.

Acquired by the Adam’s family in 2021, Tzamenkomst Lodge invites like-minded, energetic, and adventurous souls to share in the magnificence of their family-run Karoo farm. Named by the legendary South African golfer Gary Player, Tzamenkomst means “coming together” in German, reflecting the unique confluence of the Oorlog Spruit and the Orange Rivers. The name embodies the unity and connection the Adam’s family strives to foster through every event and experience offered at the lodge.
